The POPCLIM project aims to study the determinants of attitudes toward climate policies. Climate change is one of the most debated issues today, with serious implications for both the natural environment and the people. Climate policies entail serious challenges for societies, as they require economic changes, modification of lifestyles, and result in redistributive changes. These policies also raise numerous concerns and variously motivated opposition. The POPCLIM project focuses on analyzing the reasons for this opposition. Specifically, we examine the role of economical and ideological factors as sources of attitudes towards climate policies.

The POPCLIM project is a research project conducted at the Faculty of Sociology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, scheduled for years 2021-2023, and is funded by the Polish National Science Center, under the grant OPUS 19 (contract no: 2020/37/B/HS6/02998).
